How do I use Flavour-ice?
To make the best frosting ever place 125g of softened butter into a mixing bowl with 250g of Flavour-ice and beat until smooth.
You can also make fudge using Flavour-ice in the following way:
- Place 65g unsalted butter in a large non-stick pan and over a low heat, stirring until melted, and add in 220g condensed milk and whisk well, gradually adding in 250g of Flavour-ice and whisk non stop.
- Bring this to the boil, whisking continuously. To test the mixture is ready either drop a little bit of the mixture into a jug of ice cold water and a soft ball of fudge should form, or use a sugar thermometer if you have one to check the temperature, which should be approx 118°C.
- Remove from the heat and beat the fudge until very thick and starting to set.
- Pour into a prepared tin and leave to cool before cutting into squares.
Coconut and Salted Caramel Flavour-ice can be used to make meringues as well, you can follow the recipe here.
