Pancake Baubles
Want something fun and easy to make for breakfast, dessert or anytime of the day really – It’s Christmas right! Well try out these fun pancake baubles!
Here’s What You’ll Need
175g self-raising flour
1tsp baking powder
40g caster sugar
1 egg
200 ml milk
Cake Décor Christmas sprinkles
Rolos
Here's What You'll Do:
- Add self-raising flour, baking powder and caster sugar into a bowl and mix well. Make a well in the center of the mixture.
- Add the egg and a little milk and begin to mix with a fork or whisk, adding in more milk gradually until you have a smooth and thick batter.
- Grease a frying pan if not nonstick, place on a low heat. (If using an electric griddle, preheat to low.)
- Using an ice cream scoop, or dessertspoon, drop the batter onto the pan leaving space between each to allow the mixture to spread.
- Cook for a few minutes, when bubbles start to appear on the surface then flip each pancake using a spatula. Cook for a further minute or so until the pancake is golden brown on both sides (if your first pancake is not golden cook for a little longer or increase the heat slightly.)
(Top tip, placing the pancakes onto a folded tea towel and covering over helps to keep your pancakes soft and warmer for longer.)
Decorate:
- Once all pancakes have been cooked, they will be ready to decorate.
- Place your pancake on a plate. Cut a Rolo in half and place on the plate to the top of your pancake bauble. This will stick to the plate.
- Decorate with sprinkles. These can be placed on or stuck with some chocolate spread/ syrup/ honey depending on how you enjoy your pancakes 😊
