Surprise your Valentine with these berry special Strawberry Cupcakes. The delicious strawberry flavouring alongside the Milk Choco Writer is a match made in heaven! Follow the guide below to learn just how easy it is to make these yourself!

Here’s What You’ll Need To Make 12:

Here’s a cheeky tip: Instead of purchasing all the cupcake ingredients, you can skip straight to the fun part by buying a pack of your favourite ready-made cupcakes, or a pack of cupcake mix from your local supermarket!

For the vanilla cupcakes:

  • 125g caster sugar
  • 125g butter or margarine, softened
  • 125g self-raising flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 Cupcake Cases

For the toppings:

  • 400g Vanilla Frosting (White)
  • Cake Décor Pink Colour Gel
  • 1tsp Strawberry Flavouring (Optional for extra strawberry flavour)
  • Pack of Fresh Strawberries
  • Cake Décor Milk Choco Writer

Here's How:

Bake Your Cupcakes:
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180C.
  2. Whisk together the butter, sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl (add a teaspoon of Strawberry flavour if you choose to make it extra strawberry flavoured). Sift in the flour, add the eggs and beat everything together.
  3. Pop your cupcake cases into a cupcake tray. Using a large tablespoon, fill each cupcake case half full with your delicious mixture.
  4. Place in the oven and bake at 180C for 20 minutes (You’ll know they’re fully baked when you insert a wooden skewer and it comes out clean). When finished, remove from the oven and leave to completely cool.
Decorate:
  1.  First, let’s make the Pink Frosting. Place your Vanilla Frosting in a medium bowl and squeeze in a full tube of the Pink Colour Gel. Mix well until the colour is fully mixed with the frosting and it’s pink throughout.
  2. Transfer your pink frosting in a piping bag with a piping nozzle attached. Once the cupcakes have completely cooled, take your cupcakes one at a time and pipe the pink frosting on top of each of your cupcakes.
  3. Take your Milk Choco Writer and prepare it by following the instructions. Place one strawberry on top of each frosted cupcake and gently push it in so it’s secure. Finally, when your Milk Choco Writer is ready for use, squeeze a touch on each of the strawberry sides letting it drizzle a bit on the sides and you’re finished!
