Chocolate Orange Cake

Create your very own Premium Chocolate Orange Flavour Cake with our scrummy ready-to-use chocolate orange flavour frosting and amazing chocolate crispy balls!

Our Chocolate Orange Cake Kit includes chocolate cake mix with chocolate orange frosting, orange coloured sauce with white chocolate and crispy balls. Follow this recipe to find out just how easy it is to make this yourself. 

Here's What You'll Need:

Cake Décor Chocolate Orange Flavour Cake Kit

200ml Vegetable Oil (13 tbsp + 1 tsp)

150ml Water (10 tbsp)

3 Medium Eggs

2 x 20cm (8 inch) Cake Tins

Here's How To Bake This:

  1. Preheat your oven to 190ºC (170ºC for fan assisted ovens), Gas Mark 5.
  2. Grease tins and line bases with parchment/greaseproof paper.
  3. Empty the cake mix into a bowl. Add the eggs, oil and water to the mix and beat together for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the mix equally into two tins.
  5. Bake for 27-33 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the tins then remove and leave to cool completely on a wire rack.
  1. Once the cakes have completely cooled, turn one of the cakes upside down and place on a cake board/stand/flat serving plate.
  2. Knead the frosting sachet and snip the corner off. Spread 1.5tbsp/75g of frosting over the first cake layer.
  3. Place the second cake on top. Using a rounded knife spread 2tbsp/100g of frosting over the top of the cake. Use the remaining frosting to cover the sides using a rounded knife. 
  4. Knead the orange coloured sauce sachet and snip the very corner off to make a small hole. Drizzle over the top of the cake.
  5. Finally, decorate the top of the cake with the chocolate crispy balls.
