Surprise Inside Cake

Create your very own premium vanilla flavour Surprise Inside Cake with scrummy Vanilla Frosting and amazingly colourful Sprinkles. Our Surprise Inside Cake Kit comes with Cake Mix, Vanilla Flavour Frosting, Centre Sprinkles Mix and Multi-Coloured Sugar Strands – everything you need to create your very own Pinata Cake.

Here's What You'll Need:

Cake Décor Surprise Inside Cake Kit

150ml Vegetable Oil (10 tbsp)

100ml Water (6 tbsp + 2 tsp)

3 Medium Eggs

2 x 20cm (8 inch) Cake Tins

Here's How To Bake This:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens)/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Grease tins and line bases with baking parchment/ greaseproof paper.
  3. Empty the cake mix into a bowl. Add the eggs, oil and water to the mix and beat together for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the mix equally into two tins.
  5. Bake for 22-27 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the tins then remove and leave to cool completely on a wire rack.
  1. Once the cakes have completely cooled, turn one of the cakes upside down and cut a hole (approx. 5cm) out of the centre. Place this cake on a cake board/stand/flat serving plate.
  2. Knead the frosting sachet and snip the corner off. Spread 1tbsp/50g of frosting over the first cake layer using a rounded knife. Avoid covering the centre cavity.
  3. Fill the cavity with the centre sprinkle mix and place the second cake on top.
  4. Using a rounded knife spread 2tbsp/100g of frosting over the top of the cake. Use the remaining frosting to cover the sides using a rounded knife.
  5. Finally, decorate the top of the cake with the colourful strand sprinkles.
