Spooky Gingerbread Skeletons

Having a Halloween party? These scary skeletons are the perfect treat and decorated with our White Choco Writer they couldn’t taste more delicious! Follow our recipe below or simply buy some pre-made gingerbread men at your local supermarket or bakery and decorate with a Choco Writer!

Makes approx 20


 400g plain flour

 2 tsp ground ginger

 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

 115g butter

 190g soft light brown sugar

 1 egg

 4 tbsp golden syrup

For decoration:

1 x White Choco Writer



 Preheat your oven to 180C/Gas mark 5

 Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the egg, beating well

 Next add the golden syrup to the mixture

•  In a separate bowl sieve together the flour, bicarbonate of soda and ground ginger and add to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until a firm dough forms

 Chill in the fridge for approximately 30 minutes

 Roll out your dough to about 5mm thick and cut out your gingerbread men

•  Place on a baking tray covered with baking paper – ensure they are evenly spaced

 Bake for 10-15minutes until golden brown

 Remove from oven and leave to cool on a wire rack

 Once completely cool, prepare your White Choco Writer by placing in hot water to melt for 2-3 minutes. Snip the end of the nozzle and then use to create skeleton details on your gingerbread men!
