Christmas Character Cupcakes

Instantly bring your Christmas bakes to life with Edible Eyes! These fun Christmas character cupcakes would be perfect for any festive celebrations you have coming up!

You will need:

• Cake Décor Edible Eyes

• Cake Décor Milk Choco Writers

• Ready to roll icing in red, white, yellow, brown and beige

• Buttercream

 Freshly baked vanilla cupcakes

 

Directions:

For the Santa cupcake

Thinly roll out the white, red and beige icing. Use a circle cutter to cut out a round beige topper and also roll a small ball of icing for the nose

Use a cutter with a scalloped edge on the white icing for Santa’s beard and then carefully cut out the moustache shapes using a knife. The white band on the hat can be created using a small strip of white icing

For Santa’s hat, cut out a long strip of red icing and shape this around the curve of the cupcake topper. Use another small strip of red icing to create the top of the hat, and add a ball of white icing for the pom pom

Secure everything with small dots of buttercream or a dash of water, and then finish the design with Edible Eyes!

For the Robin cupcake

Thinly roll out the brown, red and yellow icing. Use a circle cutter to cut out a round brown topper and use a knife to create the wing shapes

Use the circle cutter to cut out the red breast and adjust this to the size of your cupcake

Cut out a small triangle shape from the yellow icing

Secure everything with small dots of buttercream or a dash of water, and then finish the design with Edible Eyes!

For the Reindeer cupcake

Thinly roll out the brown icing and use a circle cutter to cut out a round brown topper

Roll a small ball of red icing for the nose

Prepare your Choco Writer by following these simple instructions.. Place the Milk Choco Writer in a measuring jug of boiling water and leave to melt for 2 to 3 minutes. Once the Choco Writer has softened, carefully lift it out of the water, unscrew the cap and snip off the tip of the nozzle with scissors. It’s now ready to use!

Lay down a sheet of greaseproof paper and use the Choco Writer to create the antler shapes. Leave these to set for a few minutes and then carefully peel away from the paper
