Chocolate Shortbread Christmas Puddings

How great are these chocolate shortbread Christmas puddings? And they are so easy to make! Just a simple chocolate shortbread biscuit recipe and decorated with Cake Decor’s Choco Writer in White and some holly & berry sprinkles or sugarpaste shapes!

Ingredients:

115g unsalted butter

60g caster sugar

145g plain flour

2tbsp cocoa powder

Pinch of salt

Choco Writer in White

Holly and berry sprinkles or sugarpaste shapes

 

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180⁰C, fan 160⁰C, Gas 4

Sift the flour, cocoa powder and salt together

Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Slowly add the flour mixture and mix until combined

Pat together to form a ball then roll out on a lightly floured surface until around 0.5cm thick

Cut out circles using a 6.5cm-7cm cutter and place on a baking tray lined with baking parchment

Chill for 30 mins

Bake for 15 mins, remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool

Once completely cool, prepare your White Choco Writer by melting in a jug of hot water, snip of the end of the nozzle and drizzle on the top of each biscuit to replicate the cream on a Christmas pudding

Add some holly and berry sprinkles or sugarpaste shapes to finish
